# Intpot > Intpot is an open-source typed Python interface framework. Define a tool once, then serve or convert it across CLI, FastAPI, and MCP interfaces. ## Install Requires Python 3.11 or later. ```sh pip install intpot ``` ## Quick start ```python from intpot import App app = App("my-app") @app.tool() def add(a: int, b: int) -> int: """Add two numbers.""" return a + b ``` Serve the same declaration with `intpot serve app.py --cli`, `--api`, or `--mcp`. ## Primary resources - [Documentation](https://intpot.modepot.io/): project overview and product position. - [Quick start](https://intpot.modepot.io/quickstart/): install Intpot and serve one declaration in three ways. - [Capabilities and boundaries](https://intpot.modepot.io/capabilities/): supported conversions, runtime behavior, and current limitations. - [Build and run](https://intpot.modepot.io/build-an-app/): complete local CLI and HTTP path, generated-app verification, and troubleshooting. - [Conversion boundaries](https://intpot.modepot.io/conversion-boundaries/): source mappings, import behavior, preserved semantics, and explicit refusals. - [Schema reference](https://intpot.modepot.io/schema-reference/): `App`, schema records, parameters, CLI operations, and dependency extras. - [Architecture internals](https://intpot.modepot.io/architecture-internals/): detector, inspectors, immutable schema, projection, and generators. - [Download Markdown sources](https://intpot.modepot.io/downloads/): canonical guide files for offline and agent use. - [Cookbook](https://github.com/tugrulguner/intpot/blob/main/docs/cookbook.md): recipes maintained with the source. - [Source repository](https://github.com/tugrulguner/intpot): code, tests, examples, releases, and contribution guidance. - [PyPI package](https://pypi.org/project/intpot/): published Python distributions and release metadata. - [ModePot](https://modepot.io/): return to the open-source project family. ## Boundaries and license - Intpot is alpha software. - Unsupported framework features are reported explicitly rather than translated silently. - License: MIT.
